This is Incredibly Fitting

Katey Rich, who has been covering Moneyball: the Movie for Cinemea Blend (and is very good at her job usually), had this to say:
Soderbergh's planned adaptation of the best-selling non-fiction book about... baseball statistics.

I have absolutely no idea why anyone would be interested in this movie, even with the added value of Pitt and Martin.

Just one example of this type of commentary I've come across since the project was announced.

Considering how much type baseball pundits spend arguing about "moneyball" without actually understanding the theories behind it, people arguing about how bad a movie the book will be without actually understanding what the book is about is no less than perfect.

Yeah, from the way people talk about it, you'd think this was a full-length feature movie of "The Book: Playing the Percentages of Baseball".
